Why TANTAB?

This is how websites were built in days gone by:

John is starting a new business. He has lots of great ideas and is more excited than anyone else on earth. Above all, he needs a website. So John starts to look for, and manages to find, a web designer. They meet up to discuss the website. John tells the designer what he wants and the designer throws in some great ideas. They are both happy and the deal is on.

A couple of days later the designer sends over some design mockups. John takes a look and gives some feedback. The designer duly amends the design and sends back the new mockups a few days later. Depending on whether John is happy with what he sees, this might be repeated several times. We'll assume John finally approves the design. The designer is now ready to move on to the next stage - which is to convert the design to real web pages.

This is when John needs to provide the text and photos (aka "content") to the designer to use in the website. If John has all the content ready then that is good news and the designer swiftly puts it all together. The website is done and everyone is happy.

In most instances, however, John does not have the content ready in advance. He asks the designer to give him some time to work on it. So the designer waits. While John works on the content, he thinks up more great ideas for the website. He asks the designer to incorporate these new ideas. If the designer is feeling kind, he will do this without any additional charges. But he can only keep being kind for a limited time. So what happens when the designer runs out of patience? Some designers will attempt to re-negotiate the fees and some designers may just stop answering John's emails or phone calls. In whichever case, John is left (at best) deeply inconvenienced or (at worst) having to start the process all over again with another designer.

Build Now, Enhance Later.

In the above scenario, we would like to believe that John is innocent. Things can change faster than one can anticipate, especially when building a new business. Even if there is a business plan carved in stone, one has no choice but to makes changes and adapt when the situation calls for it or risk being eliminated by the competition.

TANTAB is here to offer flexibility. We’re offering you the ability to change whenever you feel like it or when the marketplace requires it. We want to transform the way a website is built. Instead of focusing on the design (the look and feel) first, we focus on the content. Once the content is ready, we can then provide the perfect platform for it. Your content can then be enhanced with better design and, if needed, more functionality.

If growing your business is part of your plan, then growing your website should be part of that plan too. With Tan Tab, the future of your website is a guaranteed success.
